Oh, the joys of those who do not
follow the advice of the wicked,
    or stand around with sinners,
    or join in with mockers.
But they delight in the law of the Lord,
meditating on it day and night.
They are like trees planted along the riverbank,
    bearing fruit each season.
Their leaves never wither,
and they prosper in all they do.

 But not the wicked!
They are like worthless chaff, scattered by the wind.
They will be condemned at the time of judgment.
Sinners will have no place among the godly.
For the Lord watches over the path of the godly,
but the path of the wicked leads to destruction.

Psalm 1

  1. I love the dedication of this song: “Inspired by Our Lord Jesus Christ’. A BIG AMEN for that.
I pray you all are having a blessed Lord’s day. We are getting some snow and was raining a little earlier. From what I hear there is a winter weather advisory going on. The church was not packed this morning. At one point on my way in I prayed, “Jesus take the wheel” quite literally, because I didn’t want to be the one driving.
We heard a good sermon from the book of Hosea. I have had a bit of trouble with that particular book while studying it over the past couple of years. God telling Hosea to marry an adulterous woman, to put it lightly, she becomes more wicked and God tells Hosea to buy her back out of sex slavery. Wow! I think I’d be asking, “God, did I hear you right?” Hosea really trusted his Lord.

  2. What beautiful music and graphics! I would love to wake up each morning to such a glorious encounter! Over here in N.C. we are slammed with the flu! It is nasty and lasts at least a week. Mostly rainy and dreary. I would love snow!!! Wishing everyone a hopeful start to a New and Beautiful Year!!

  3. Could use some prayers. I have the flu and pneumonia. That kicked my asthma out of control and it took four scary days invoking two clinic visits and progressively stronger medication before I could breathe more deeply than short rapid pants. I am breathing much better now but am really weak.

  4. Goodness, Marsha! Any one of those things would knock someone out. Praying you can get some rest, and that this will be over soon.

  5. Marsha, I am sorry for your health scare!!! I hope things are calming down by now. The flu has been very nasty this year and I know it can trigger other scary respiratory problems. Feel better!
